Ronald W. Brown arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

On October  6, 2014 at approximately 8:52 P.M. Deputy Steven Wakefield was patrolling on Garner Loop.  Deputy Wakefield observed a red Ford truck driving into the ditch and the vehicle had expired license.  Deputy Wakefield stopped the vehicle and while make the stopped Deputy Wakefield observed the driver throw an object out the driver’s side window.  The vehicle stopped approximately 100 yards from where the object was thrown out.  The driver was identified as Ronald W. Brown w/m dob-5/4/1965 of 203 South Hall St. in Mineral Springs.  Deputy Wakefield went to the location where the driver had thrown out the object and found a dark blue bandana tied together.  The bandana contained a set of digital scales, a clear plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine and a piece of foil containing suspected methamphetamine.  Deputy Wakefield arrested Ronald W. Brown for Possession of a Controlled Substance—Methamphetamine and transported him to the Howard County Jail.  While Ronald Brown was being booked into the jail another bag of suspected methamphetamine was found by Jailor Tammy Arnold.  No bond has been set at this time.
