Deputy Steven Wakefield makes drug arrest on Garner Loop

 

On September 30, 2014 at approximately 8:55 P.M. Deputy Steven Wakefield was patrolling on Garner Loop in Howard County.  Deputy Wakefield observed a Polaris Ranger driving on the wrong side of the road in a curve.  Deputy Wakefield made traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Ansley Landtroop w/m dob-12/30/1982 of 168 Byrom Lane Mineral Springs, AR.  Deputy Wakefield saw a metal container in a compartment on the Ranger and asked Ansley what was inside it.  Ansley stated that the container contained marijuana.  Deputy Wakefield opened the container and found suspected marijuana along with suspected methamphetamine.  Deputy Wakefield searched Ansley and found a metal smoking device on Ansley.   Ansley Landtroop was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Deputy Wakefield observed the passenger on the Ranger drinking a beer.  The passenger was James Shea Landtroop w/m 52 years of age from 194 Byrom Lane Mineral Springs was arrested on a warrant for Non Payment of Fines.  Both subjects were transported to the Howard County Jail.  No bond has been set for Ansley Landtroop at this time.  Bond for James Shea Landtroop is 4,145 dollars.
