Deputies Attend Training for School Crisis


Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins and Investigator John Eric Glidewell traveled to Fort Smithon Wednesday, February 20th to attend training on “Preparing Your Schools for a Crisis”. The Criminal Justice Institute Sponsored the training in conjunction with U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Anti-Terrorism Council. The training was specific to law enforcement and school officials and outlined how to plan for a crisis at schools. The training also weighed heavily on active shooter inside and near our schools. Over four hundred law enforcement officers and school officials fromArkansas,Oklahoma,Texas, andMissouri attended the training.

“I have visited with all the schools inside the county and the schools officials take this matter very seriously. They are very involved with us on the planning and preparation for these unfortunate events.”
