On July 2, 2012 Jay Brown reported that he and Ray Rogers had a welder and trailer stolen from their property located on Blue Bayou Rd.  The welder and trailer are valued at around 4,000 dollars.  Deputies received information that Curtis Wayne Furr was in possession of the welder and trailer.  On July 3, 2012 Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins and Deputy Jade Hughes located the stolen welder.  Later on July 3, 2012 Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins found Curtis Wayne Furr and arrested him for Theft of Property.  On July 4, 2012 Investigators David Shelton and John Eric Glidewell located the stolen trailer.  Curtis Wayne Furr remains in the Howard County Jail on a 25,000 dollar bond.   The case remains open and other arrest are possible in this case.
