On June 22, 2012 at 6:07 P.M. the Howard County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from 1512 Schaal Road in reference to self inflicted gunshot wound.  EMS, first responders and law enforcement was dispatched to the scene.  Officers found Barney Jack Brown w/m dob-6/23/1936 deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest.   The Howard County Coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.   The body was not sent to the State Medical Examiner after investigating officers and the coroner determined that the shooting was self inflicted.
