Nashville AR 71852 (Center Point)

The Center Point Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 12:58 a.m. on February 25, 2012.  The structure was located at 112 Hwy 278 in Center Point.  A passer-by called 9-1-1 to report the fire.  While the Center Point and County Line Fire Departments were extinguishing the fire they noticed a body inside the house.  The Howard County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the findings and Howard County Deputies Joey Davis and Travis Turner went to the scene.  Howard County Coroner John Gray was also contacted.  John Gray noted the time of death to be 3:55 a.m. on February 25.  Investigators David Shelton and John Eric Glidewell, along with Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins were also present at the scene of the fire.  The body was recovered by Coroner John Gray and the members of the Center Point and County Line Fire Departments.  Through information received from a family member, the body was identified to be Netty Lou Wilson.  She was known to be the only occupant of the house.  According to the fire departments, there was no electricity to the house, and no natural gas or butane service to the home.  There was nothing found at the scene or any witnesses that would suggest to investigators that the fire was intentionally set.  Wilson’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for further cause of death and further identification.
