HOWARD COUNTY DEPUTIES MAKE A DRUG ARREST AFTER RECEIVING COMPLAINT ABOUT A PARKED VEHICLE

On January 16, 2011 at approximately 1:44 A.M. the Howard County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a parked vehicle near the Tyson’s Feed Mill on a gravel road.  Deputies Jade Hughes and Deputy Blake Eudy located the vehicle parked in the middle of the road.  When the deputies approached the vehicle they noticed an open whiskey bottle in the passenger side floor board and also what appeared to be marijuana in the passenger side seat.  The deputies asked the driver to exit the vehicle and indentified him as Jody Pennington w/m 35 yrs. of age living at McLaughlin Trailer Park outside of Nashville, Ar.  Deputies found a used syringe in the vehicle also.  Jody Pennington is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance—Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving on a Suspended License.  Pennington is in the Howard County Jail and bond has been set at $1,765.00.
