Local Law Enforcement Agencies Search For Aggravated Assault Suspect

At approximately 7:45 a.m. on April 5th, a fourteen year old Hispanic girl was transported by private vehicle to the Howard County Sheriff's Department.  The young girl had visible injuries and stated to Nashville Investigator Larry Marion that she was the victim of an assault.  The victim was transported by private vehicle to Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville where she was treated for injuries to her face and neck.  She was later released. 

The suspect in this incident is forty year old Alejo Galvan.  He is a Hispanic male, five feet, four inches tall and stocky build.  Alejo Galvan resides at 820 Magnolia Street and knew the victim in this incident.  Alejo Galvan is not related to the victim, but he does live with the aunt of the victim. The victim stated that Alejo called her to come to the residence to assist her small cousin in fixing her hair.  The victim stated that Alejo attacked her and choked her until she fell unconscious.  She stated that when she came to, her attacker had left the residence. 

The suspect is driving a 2002, black Nissan sport utility vehicle with Arkansas license 705KSE.   The direction of travel is unknown.  The suspect possibly has relatives in the Clinton, Arkansas area.
